In My Own Time: Wandering Through Flying Tiger, Muji, and KKV (and Leaving Only with What Felt Right)

,

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope the week was kind to you. I had a very productive, very creative week. I’m very happy with my output this week.

Let’s continue with this series.

My next stop was Flying Tiger. I was so  excited to visit this branch as my home branch told me that this one is big and has the latest stuff.

That dispenser was the first thing I noticed. I took a photo of it and sent it to my friend with the message, too much? Then laughed.

Hey, if you have this, you do you. If it makes you happy.

As for me, it’s too much.

So I moved on.

\

This pouch caught my eye as I love cherries, but I wasn’t feeling the pouch itself.

I wanted to get these organizers but my desk doubles as my vanity and it’s already super full as it is! 😆

But maybe these will be good for my craft and journaling things… after I fix my studio, that is.

This caddy also caught my eye because it’s lavender, but it’s metal so I passed.

I went out unscathed, like I said in my last post. I really wasn’t feeling the energy in this store. I might go I in when I’m in the area next time, but I won’t plan to go to this branch.

Muji

My next stop was Muji. I felt so hot by the time I got to Central Square that I had to stop at the Superga kiosk to sit, wipe the sweat off my neck and face, and drink some water. As you may know, I’m very heat-sensitive. I was a little dizzy at this time and got annoyed because I left my snack pouch at home and just brought some crackers. I needed something sweet at this point, but thank God, I was okay after a few minutes.

When I was better, I went to the bathroom to freshen up and then went straight to Muji.

I found these compact notebooks. Look at all those fun colors! I’m not a huge fan of small notebooks, but these are good for traveling or to just keep in your bag for when ideas strike. Oh, I also like the landscape orientation.

I didn’t’ take a close look at these because I still have a ton of notebooks that I want to use up.

A lot of people use these small pouches to display their trinkets, but I use them for organizing cables and tech when I travel. It’s faster and easier to spot them with the clear window.

I think I’m getting a little obsessed with these hard cases from Muji. Each branch has a different style. I’m pretty sure I’ll be buying one form or another soon. 😆

I got a few things from Muji to take advantage of the 10% off for members. This was my second trip for the sale. I went to the flagship store on my first round.

KKV

After I made a quick trip to the supermarket, I had my things delivered to our house. I had 2 big totes at that point and they were heavy.

I am very thankful for delivery services.

After I gave the driver my things, I booked a ride to Park Triangle Mall to go to KKV.

What even are flexible towels? Well, I just found out and I’m gonna buy a pack when I go back there.

These travel watercolor sets caught my eye right away.

But I’m sure the quality is not as good as branded ones, of course. Here in this set, you can already see that it’s cracking.

They had a lot of these character pens. I thought they were cute.

Planner Paradise? Not quite. They had a lot of missing items that I came back for.

I was eyeing these cat themed bookmarks, I think that’s what they are. I lingered for a long time, but didn’t buy.

I took a photo of this wall because my godson is currently obsessed with correction tapes.

They reminded me of him.

I keep taking photos of these food-themed notepads because I think they’re a hoot and a half. 😏

They’re cute though, but that is definitely not an omelette.

I was asking my friend why the frog prince was hiding in the fries box. 😆

Not even gonna comment on this one…

I also found this huge shrimp chips! But doesn’t that look like a lobster to you? Look how huge that snack pack is!

Halfway through my KKV tour, my friend showed up to accompany me and be my hired muscle for the day. He knew I was alone and would probably need some help with my purchases. He  wasn’t wrong.

We went to One World Deli downstairs where I found this guy. See the resemblance on the pack above?

I got a few things from KKV and some repeats like:

...

.

After KKV, we went to Mitsukoshi, which is up next.

Excited for the weekend, Glow Girls?
