Some afternoons are best spent in silence, warm arms, and a new soft luxe routine.
After two hours of tackling numbers and receipts, I decided to fix us a sandwich.
It was a good time to stretch and walk around, too, as I normally work on the floor.
I already knew what kind of sandwich I wanted to make.
(Stay tuned for that on Lady E Eats.)
When I got back to our room after preparing the sandwiches, I instinctively did things to make me cozy and comfy.
I got my headband to keep my hair out of my face. Don’t you just hate it when your hair gets into your sandwich? 😆
It was cloudy yesterday and I’m very sensitive to temperature changes so I got my cardigan.
It’s old, a little torn on the sleeve. It’s not even my palette. But I love it. It keeps me warm without overheating me.
I’ve been cooking a lot and my hands are very dry again. They’re peeling and painful if I don’t take care of the dryness immediately.
So, I applied some of my blue milk yogurt lotion. And guess what?
It was the last use.
I hit pan.
I’m always happy when I hit pan.
So, I opened my overstock drawer and found a replacement which was it’s twin sister - the strawberry milk yogurt hand cream.
I got both of them in Watsons Vigan. (You can read all about our trip in the archive. Just search “Vigan” and “Calle Crisologo” on my search bar to see all my posts.)
As I type this, I’m trying the strawberry variant for the first time.
I’m still deciding if I like the strawberry scent. I found that the blue variant’s scent was a little too much if I apply a lot. The strawberry is the same.
But it does have that strawberry-yogurt scent. This is good for daytime use for me. But at night? This is too much for my sensitive system.
I have to admit, though. These are not very effective at healing my dry hands. I have to apply several times throughout the day.
And I feel like the lotion just sits on top of my skin, not getting absorbed.
But they’re not sticky and annoying, that’s why I keep using them.
I don’t want lotion all over my things and keyboard.
After all these, I did a quick check:
Work? ☑️
Food? ☑️
Lounge pants + cardigan + headband? ☑️
Soft hands? ☑️
I took a bite of my sandwich, tucked into my man, and pressed play on this cloudy Tuesday afternoon.
Bliss.
