How I Deal with My Dry Skin

I’ve been dealing with dry skin my whole life but it seems that it took a turn for the worse this year. This is how my forearm looks like: I actually sharpened the image so you can clearly see the “scales”. Believe it or not, this actually looks better now compared to last week and the weeks before that.  Here are my personal tips on dealing with dry skin. Hydrate It’s very important that you keep yourself hydrated with water especially during summer. I drink about 3 liters or more of water each day and it’s still not enough so my doctor put me on a Gatorade diet. Aside from water and juices, I drink 1 glass of Gatorade daily. Use gentle bath products Avoid strong scents. If you can get an unscented product, do so. I personally can’t use unscented products as I really want my bath products to have even a bit of fragrance in them. I think Dove beauty bars and shower creams are the best for dry skin. I especially love this shower cream because it really helped the condi...

My Chanel and Estee Lauder Summer Picks

I’m still browsing the web for good finds. Here are my summer picks from two of my favorite brands. From Estee Lauder, I choose this Aerin Lip and Cheek color  in Natural. I haven’t tried the Aerin brand yet but I’m excited. I’m also excited about the Cello Shots line but I’m more interested in this cheek color called Pink Patent. I am in love with Estee Lauder blushes. From Chanel, I like the Idylle and Pygmalion lipstick and the Bel-Argus nail color. All these items are from the Summer Collection so I probably won’t be able to get my hands on them but if I were to choose one product, I’d go with the Cello Shots cheek color.

Time to Say Goodbye

Because I am stuck at home for health reasons, I’ve been neglecting some of my makeup and in keeping up with the “Simplify” frame of mind, I’ve decided to finally say goodbye to these: I’ve decided to put them on a blog sale. They will be available at our booth in Alphaland Mall near the food court. If you are interested, please drop by. These are hardly used. They have been mostly used for EOTD’s for this blog. Some were used for clients. Price range is from Php199 to Php350.I won’t be able to host the blog sale here because of health restraints. I love these Wet n Wild palettes. They are highly pigmented and with the right primer, they last the whole day. They are blendable and easy to apply. I will miss these palettes as it took me some time to find all these colors but I won’t be using them for the next couple of months or so and I think it’s better that they find a new home. I’ve decided to just keep my higher end makeup in my collection. Don’t think I’m a snob to drugstor...

My Latest Lip Balm Collection

Remember when my lip balm collection looked like this ? Well, I’m happy to say that it now looks like this: I only have 6 in my collection and I’m happy to report that I have not bought a new one in 6 months. I will try to finish these first before buying a new one. I think this house arrest thing is paying off because I get to re-focus my priorities. = )

How do you organize your earrings?

This is how I keep mine: This is an acrylic organizer that holds 36 pairs. I used to have a lot more earrings but I’ve been simplifying my life and I’m really happy that I was able to reduce the number to this. I also employ the one in, one out attitude with my earrings. I like this setup because I can clearly see all my earrings. Before, my earrings were all in one tray so I just use the first pair that I spot. This is definitely better. Most of my earrings are from Hyphen , by the way. So how do you organize yours? If you have a blog post about it, leave a link in the comments section so that I can check it out!

My Favorite Blushes

If you’ve seen my Makeup Collection 2013 post, you’d know that I only have a few blushes compared to palettes. I have no idea why I don’t buy blushes that often but I always go crazy about palettes. Anyway, here are my favorites in my collection. Estee Lauder Rose Nuance This is my first high end blush. It’s not cheap but it’s a good investment. I’ve had this forever and it still looks new. This is a good blush that I use for special occasions. I also use this for my special clients. The monochromatic shade just looks gorgeous on cheeks.   MAC Mighty Aphrodite I think this is the reason why I don’t buy a lot of blushes. This blush is huge and it will take forever to finish! This is a good everyday blush. I always swirl my brush around to get a good combination of shades.  MAC Giggly This is a cute blush that will give you a cute pop of pink on your cheeks.  I normally use this blush when I’m feeling creative with my makeup.
