Soft Luxe Staycations: Binondo Series - My Soft Luxe Touches to our Room at Ramada, King Chef, and a Pretty Nail Polish
Let's continue with my Binondo Series. If you're just tuning in, please check out the archives for the other posts in this series. I'll also make a wrap up post so you can find everything in one page.
I was talking to my sister the day before we left for Ramada and I cut it short because I said that we weren't done packing yet. She laughed and said, "There are only 2 of you and you're staying for 2 nights, and you're still not done packing?" I laughed. Such is my life, my dear sister. C'est ma vie.

My Soft Luxe Touches
I have to pack a lot of things because I may be on staycation, but I still want to be comfortable in our hotel room. No compromises when it comes to our comfort.
Pantry and Closet
I just put our snacks, takeaway, and the thank you packs for the staff in the pantry
For our closet, of course I brought our hanging organizer for hotel clothes. I got my foldable hanger out for one of my son's shirts as the hanger was too big.
Table and Bathroom
For the table, I set up my work and my vanity spaces. This set up is just like the one I have at home. My table doubles as my vanity. I used my tablet to take this shot that's why it's not in the photo.
Our bathroom has a big sink counter, which I love! I set up my foldable baskets here, so I can group our toiletries together according to use.
The shower area is still the same setup as I did in Vigan. I'm really glad that I brought my tray because the water didn't drain immediately, so there was always a small flood happening when we shower. I have peace of mind that our toiletries are elevated and remain clean.
A Quiet Moment for Beauty
I brought some nail polish with me because the last time we went on a trip, my nails got ruined! And I didn't like it.
I was tired and lacked sleep, so I decided to close my eyes while waiting for the nail polish to dry. Of course, my son took ninja shots.
This is the nail polish I applied. It's 08 Rose Pink from Miniso.
Here's how it looks. I really like this polish because it's hard for me to find shades of pink that flatter my skin tone. In one of my old posts, I mentioned that these oil-based nail polish from Miniso chip easily. I finally figured out the culprit. It's this:
These topcoats are pretty and they have plant extracts, but they also mess with the nail polish, making them chip easily. I skipped applying this one time, and I washed dishes and my hands several times one night and even the regular Mumuso nail polish didn't chip. I'm still not sure how I'll use these. I don't want to throw them away. Maybe I'll give them away. We'll see.
Dinner with the Family
That night, we went up to my sister and mom's room to have dinner together. This is the view from their room. That's Lucky Chinatown Mall.
I like this Koi painting in their room
King Chef
My sister ordered delivery from King Chef from Lucky Chinatown.
Here's what we got:
Shrimp dumplings
Buchi
Siomai. My sister loves siomai. I do, too, but not as much as her.
Sweet and sour pork
Yangchow Fried Rice
After dinner, my son did a presentation about his weather forecast. He coded an app on Scratch, named Storm Scout. It helps him track weather formations.
After that, we went back to our room with thoughts of his weather forecast brewing in my head. His forecasts are always spot on. I'll tell you more about it in my next Binondo Series post.
