Soft Luxe Staycations: Binondo Series - How We Spent the Rest of the Day at Lucky Chinatown Mall

After a loooooong time at KKV, we headed deep into Lucky Chinatown to hunt for a place to eat lunch. My mom is a picky eater and we ended up at Mary Grace.

Mary Grace

Of course we got our usual orders. Nothing else seems to appeal to me at Mary Grace. This is the seafood pasta. Mom ordered the same and ended up giving me all her mussels and some of her clams.

My son's usual carbonara.

Mango shake for us

And strawberry for mom. Pretty plate for shells.

We went to 10 Yen King after eating as I told mom they were pretty good. I didn't take photos, but I did mention it in this post.

While they were waiting for the food, I told them I'd stop by Mumuso and Daiso first.  I took photos of the atrium on the way.

That dragon is super long! I'll show you how long in a bit.

Mumuso

They have a lot of scrunchies at this branch! This is the first time I've seen this many in their store.

I have a thing for fun-shaped erasers. My son did, too. We mostly like food and dinosaurs. I have a 4-year old nephew. Wonder if he'll like this set. 🤔

I saw these food-themed pouches at Daiso again!

How great is this tape dispenser??

And oh, these clear pouches again! This time it's in medium! I already have the small and large ones.

Going Home and That Long Dragon

This is how long that dragon was:

Near the doors

Outside the doors!

Almost around the mall! Great work to the team that conceptualized this!  It's like the dragon was protecting the mall. Really love the concept.

It's the perfect symbol of Binondo's enduring spirit - rooted in tradition, but constantly moving forward.

Our car took some time to arrive. I didn't really care. I was just glad we were able to get a ride. The hotel is 7 minutes away from the mall, if I remember correctly.

Was finally able to take shots of the front of the church!

Next up: A tour of our room at Ramada by Wyndham Manila Central
