🍋 Zestfully Done and Rediscovering Snacks and Saving Money in the Pantry

Today's post is late because I'm exhausted. I've been doing a lot of crafting plus I wrote another book yesterday (more on that soon). Last week, we joined a bazaar and it seems we will have another one in December, so I'd like to get my wares ready for that. Crafting is a lot of hardwork. It takes time to print and bind these Pantry Ledgers together.

Lady Flo is here and instead of resting, I've been shuffling between my screen and my crafts. However, I'm happy. I've been overheating today and decided to lie down for a while and watch some Netflix. I fell asleep and when I woke up, I decided to have some ice cream and luxe potato chips with my son. Thus, the late post.

Yesterday, I decided to sit down with my Peach & Quiet Pantry Ledger and do a quick check of what’s actually in our snack bags in our room and our pantry. I grabbed a pencil, poured myself a glass of water, sat on the floor, poured the contents of the bags, and started writing things down — one item at a time.

And guess what I found?
Snacks I completely forgot about — Japanese Shrimp Peanuts, that bag of sweet potato chips that I mentioned before, squash shing-a-ling, and chocolate biscuits that really need to be eaten. They were all sitting quietly in the bag, waiting to be noticed again.

I realized how easy it is for things to get lost in the shuffle. Life gets busy, groceries pile up, and sometimes we just grab what’s in front. But yesterday, as I checked each box and bag, I saw how much food we actually had.

We ended up eating all those in the photo above right away — no waste, no guilt, just small wins that made me feel light and productive. 🥰

🧺 Six Pages In — and Counting

I’ve already filled six pages of my Pantry & Fridge Check section, and I’m not even done with the fridge yet! 😅

But here’s the thing: this doesn’t feel like work.
It feels like care.

Every time I write something down, I’m choosing to take charge of what we already have — to make sure it doesn’t go to waste, and to spend wisely on what we really need.

That’s what Zestfully Done means to me — doing things with energy and lightness, instead of stress and clutter.

🍋 Why Zestfully Done?

Because I'm giving my life a makeover.

Because I need help with homemaking.

Because I want to keep track of what's going on in my boxes and bags and pantry.

Because wasting food and money stops now.

I want to be aware.
I want to bring joy back to homemaking.

Whether it’s organizing the pantry, planning meals, or simply deciding what to cook tomorrow, I want to do it with intention and love — not pressure.

This yellow-themed Pantry Ledger reminds me that structure doesn’t have to feel heavy. It can be soft, cheerful, and encouraging. It’s my way of bringing sunshine into everyday chores. ☀️

💭 Reflection

Maybe you’re like me — surrounded by things that just need a little attention.
A fridge that’s overdue for sorting.
A cabinet full of forgotten snacks.
A routine that’s gotten too autopilot.

Maybe what we need isn’t more things to buy, but a way to fall back in love with what we already have.

That’s what Zestfully Done is all about. 💛

Soft Luxe Staycations: Binondo Series - The Great Buddha, Curated Purchases from Eng Bee Tin, and Last Thoughts About Ramada

After buying a lot of stuff on the first floor, we headed upstairs to eat a light lunch. Mom was getting hungry. My son and I just ate, but we said that we will accompany her and will just order something light.

All About Eyes

Lately I’m finding myself obsessed with skin care products, prevention in particular. I'm not getting younger and nobody likes lines and wrinkles, right? I should have done this in my early twenties but those were hard times and we didn’t have enough to support our daily lives, let alone vanity splurges. So now, I’m on hyper mode. I did not place any expectations on this product. I’ve had it with products claiming they can do this and that. I just tried the product thinking that if it works then great, if not then I’ll just find a new one. I wasn’t expecting a dramatic change but 2 weeks into using this product, I noticed that my under eye area has become lighter. The lines are also not as deep as they were before I used this product. I stopped using the Garnier eye products because I’m allergic to them so that means I’m not using any whitening products for that area. I am truly impressed with this product. I didn’t take a before and after photo as I wasn’t expecting this at ...

When You Need a Tiny Reset (Glow Cards Are Here)

The shade is actually a dusty mauve or muted orchid. It looks blue on the image, but it's not blue.  There are days when I don’t need a full day off — I just need a moment. A tiny reset. A quiet pause in the swirl of noise. That’s how Glow Cards were born.
